Looking for the illusive 'Swamp Donkey'

Well, we're off on our annual pilgrimage to harvest a moose tomorrow. The picture above is from my first moose hunt four years ago. That was a big day for me when I pulled the trigger...you'll never forget that moment in your life. Maybe not the best memory, but one that will not be forgotten.
I hope we have some more luck this year in our hunt, as our group has been skunked for the past three years! Well, except for a "road kill" moose that one of the guys in our group hit with his car on the very last day of hunting season driving on the highway. Go figure eh!
I'll take some pics from our weekend.
Cheers :)

Hey good luck! I wouldn't want to go hunting myself, unless I had to to survive, but I'll sure reap the rewards of my friends/family who give me yummy moose meat.

What a gorgeous morning to be out in the bush and on the lake. I would like to be there with my camera and take "shots" of the wildlife. That's all I could do.. and of course cook it.
Moose roast marinaded in red wine, Spaetzle and red cabbage.....hmmmm...
