Fun Weekend

Well another successful caming trip to Sandbar Provincial Park is now in the books. This is basically our last camping trip of the year as a large group and we always seem to get the best of the weather when we go camping here, but this year was filled with cool temps, a bit of rain and LOTS of wind!! So, we took full advantage of the wind on Saturday getting out on the water a couple of different times throughout the day. We were in 'speed mode' because the wind was really crankin'and Link and I had both brought our GPS's. I posted a 47.4km/hr run with the Astro Rock/7.1m sail, but no less than 2 hrs later my buddy Link posts a 50.3km/hr run on the Astro Rock with his 6.0m sail!! Dude, that was fast in those conditions!! Way to go!! I'm so stoked Link was the first to break the 50 barrier!! In the evening we all sat around the campfire chatting and staying warm. After a hard day charging on the water, we were all beat up a bit and hit the sheets pretty quick. Sunday it was still windy, but really cool. Jeremy was the only one to make it on the water for a few runs...go figure eh! I was in the water with him and by the time we were done, my feet were freezing cold!

All in all, a really fun weekend!

A great, yet chilly weekend! Any by the way......windsurfing isn't all it's cracked up to be. My poor legs!!

Way to (go)cruise!!! Gonna have to take that GPS, driving down the Autobahn to come up with a new speed record ala Schwaby style!! Whoohoo!

What a great weekend you all had! Cool temps do not deter you hard core surfers! Even little Jeremy is getting his feet wet and building up his muscles--good going Jeremy!
It's great having traditions like your camping trip--memories for life!
