More Summer fun !!

August 10, 2005

Strat GO165.jpg
Well it's been sometime again since my last post, but we've just been so darn busy BBQ'ing, windsurfing and socializing, I simply haven't had any time on my computer!! Last week we were out on Windy Wabigoon Lake, and Strat posted a 47.1 km/hr session!!! He's just smokin' fast with his GO 165 and 7.5m sail!! Strat's actual speed is still a bit of a question mark at this point!? Strat was "chucked over the handlebars" a few times during our session, so I'm wondering if the maximum recorded speed was a catapult, or actual on the water sailing speed? If there are any mathematicians out there, please jump in with your comments on this...kidding of course!

Again, I hope you're all enjoying this summer to the max!

Have fun smiley

Just as a side note to the speed quest we seem to be having here. Schwaby and I were on the lake last night and I posted a 37.5km/hr run, only to be outdone by my Frauline with a 37.6km/hr run!
If you see her walking around town, you'll probably notice she's grown a foot!

Nice speed guys, All I managed to do last time I was sailing with my GPS was to loose the joy-stick button and get it full of water. So mine is busted now. :( Where can I get a GPS that is on steroids like yours, 47.1 km/h is about 29.2 MPH which is very possible on the GO 165, I remember trying Strat's board when I was up visiting and I got a 26.7 MPH read and Randy had a 26.4 MPH.

37.6 Km/h is also really good about 23.4 Mph, way to go Wodette... :)

We haven't had any wind down here latly, I have been showeling rock in the backyard (12 tons of it) so that looks all nice now...

Are you guys still planning on going to Waconia Wind & Sail on Aug 27th weekend? What about Fon du lac and the Crossing, I have penciled in all three events on my calendar. Hopefully you guys can make some of them.

Hey Guys, trying to plan ahead a little. Are you guys heading to Waconia on the 27th of Aug? Or are you focusing on the Fon Du Lac race and the crossing? I would go to Waconia as well but not by myself. I think it looks like it is just me right now from here that would. Let me know, I have a couple of other things I could do as well so I just wanted to make sure, if you guys are going there I will be there.

Time for an update Woody! I'm sure something new has happened since Bruce's 47.1 kph. How about ME in the harness, with all the bruises to prove it!!!

Sounds like great speeds you surfies are doing! The wind has been great at times!
Which meets are you going to?
One day you will have to try Aruba and Bonaire for steady winds and also gorgeous snorkelling and scuba diving!
Love Mom xoxoxo smiley smiley
