Paul Kiting

Here's an awesome picture of Paul hooked in to his 13m Speed and cruisin' the snow of one of the many lakes around Sioux Lookout.
Flysurfer, the company that makes the Speed kites have a Worldwide Contest going for top speed recorded on one of their products. The winner will be 1,000.00 EURO richer!
At today's exchange rate, that works out to 1,375 bucks, or 1,190 green backs!!

I'll see if the photographer http://www.digitalscenes.ca is willing to send a low res to Flysurfer - maybe they'll pay a couple of bucks for the high res.

I have a ways to go for the speed record - maybe about 50km/hr more!!! Yikes. Having fun learning to snowboard with the kite until I crashed on a knee into hard ice - memo to self - knee pads are not optional!

That is the most inspiring photo of a kite surfer letting his "beast"fly that I have ever seen!! yes, send it to a Flysurfer mag--I'm sure it will be reproduced in a mag somewhere!
