Bird Island Windsurfing
Wow! Today we scored some great winds around 50K and temps in the mid to high 80's! Margot was on a 150l JP Freeride with a 4m Gaastra Manic sail and was nicely powered up. She sailed for a couple of hours while I watched the kids at the beach. I did get out for a few hours myself and was on a 116l JP SuperCross with a 6.2m Gaastra Poison sail. This board was just awesome!! It was screaming fast and jibed really fast!! I was overpowered at times when the wind was really crankin', but managed to keep things under control.
Jeremy, Stephanie, Josh and Larry's daughter Jenny had fun playing in the waves on the Ocean side in front of our condo during the afternoon while I was sailing with the Iowa gang.
Great day on the water!!!

The pictures above with the flat water of Bird Island don't really justify the actual conditions encountered today. It was really crankin' out there!! We counted over 50 sailor's on the water once as well!!
Pretty Cool

The windsurf conditions today were just insane!
There was only time for two thoughts " hook in" and "get in the straps"! I was again on the 4m sail going almost 40kmh. Should have some great pictures again! I'll be sleeping good tonight.
