Windsurfing in Texas
Well, here we are in Corpus Christi Texas windsurfing at Bird Island on the Laguna Madre. The water is warm, nice sandy bottom and waist deep for miles! Great for teaching the kids or getting some jibes dialed in. The wind was about 20K blowing off shore today, with the occasional gust above 30. I had a blast on Uffe's 10.7m North R-Type sail and his Bic Techno Formula. The wind is supposed to be crankin' tomorrow so I hope to get on some small stuff and practice my planing jibes.
Margot has some info on her site about the holiday so far too, so check it out HERE
I got kinda sunburned today, but mostly just my hands and face. Hat on tomorrow as it's going to be about 29C!! More updates to come!!
We are having a blast so far!!
