Day 1 Race report

Well, not much to report from Day 1 except that there was no racing!!
We woke up this morning all rested up from our trip, then had an awesome breakfast at this Greek family owned restaurant called Healthy Habits, cruised over in the FJ to the event area at Richardson Beach, rigged up our gear, went through the skippers meeting, got all charged up and ready to go, then we waited, waited and waited some more for the wind to show up....nothing. So, at 2:30pm the RC (race committee) postponed racing for the day.
Wind is still looking light for tomorrow, but I'm hoping enough to get the raceboard class out on the water. The wind is supposed to crank up on Saturday and Sunday with wind speed in the 50km/hr range, so slalom racing will be full on for those days.
We're back at our dorm rooms at Queens University now getting ready to go out for supper at this place called Tango's. All of the windsurfer's will be going so it should be fun.

Looks like a beautiful area for a regatta. Wind is still blowing here - I'm heading down to the lake now. Have fun at Tango's

Too bad about the wind. Cross your fingers for Friday. I'm sure your having fun even without the wind.
