The Last Session (maybe)!

You can barely see me through the snow flakes!!

Woodette on the move!!
When it's late October, the air temperature is hovering around zero degrees celcius, winds gusting at times in the 40km/hr range, visibility really crappy due to the blowing snow, there's only one thing to do...go windsurfing of course!! Woodette and I ventured out to our favourite launch at Thunder Lake and had what might be our last session of this season. Woodette was on her Neil Pryde 7.5m V8 with her Bic Nova 165 while I had my 9.8m V8 on my formula board. The water is getting close to being 'hard' (as in frozen), so very chilly on the hands and feet when they get wet! The sessions are short but fun and good for the soul!! I left the Blue Moose running with the heater on full blast, so when I finished sailing I had a nice cozy place for my toes to warm up! Hoping still to get out "one more time", but the days are ticking away especially now with the clocks turning back one hour.
Hope you're all having fun too ![]()

It was an awesome weekend!! Got out sailing twice - just before the next snow storm will hit us!
The cozy Moose and soaking in the Hot Tub was just perfect to get some blood flowing into the toes again!
I feel charged!!

Toronto had severe wind warnings today with possible gusts up to 100 km/hr.

I'm still up for one more session! Call me! I could really use a 'charge' right about now.
Wouldn't it be cool to windsurf in a snow storm?

The vid is 38 MB Al, so it may take a bit to load.

Woody and Woodette,
Great pics and video! I sure wouldn't want to fall into that water, that looks VERY cold!
While I was in the process of buying Uffe's Bic Techno Formula, I ran across your website while checking out some of the links on Uffe's site.
Looking at both Uffe's and your blog, I thought- what a great way for a person to document what's going on with family and friends! I thought it was very neat, so I started a blog for my wife and me. Which leads me to ask how you were able to download personal videos?
I have asked some friends, but they are not sure. If you have a few minutes, let me know.
Thanks!

Hey crazy Chanucks... Are we trying to set a record for coldest sesison or what? Make sure you got all 10 toes when you get back in... I am cold just looking at that video.... Haven't been out since crossing (Fred has my Techno Formula now) so I can't get out until it gets windy enough for my 110L board. And I don't look forward to fall in from it in the cold water either, I will get out soon hopefully...
