Winter Snowkiting
Every once in a while you have a sign....
After work today, I hurried myself out on the lake to go Kite Skiing. As I was setting my kite up on the lake I noticed the full moon rising above the tree line and piercing these slim horizontal clouds which looked almost surreal. I watched it for a bit then launched my kite and made my way out on the lake only to notice a beautiful pink/red sunset setting up in front of my eyes. Wow, on one tack I had the full moon rising, then on the other tack, I had this most stunning sunset mixed in these cool looking clouds. My thoughts seemed to be inter mixed with the nature being displayed in front of me while kiting this evening....truly a gift to remember.
Margot and Josh were also out kiting earlier in the day and had a terrific time! They were using our Airush 3m trainer kite. It was Margot's first time with skis (she used Josh's snow blades which are still mini skis). The snow blades worked great for the conditions today and are also good for learning snow kiting on too. Woodette is getting pretty good considering this was only her 3rd time ever flying a kite. And Josh, well he just picks up things so naturally. Watch out for him in the years ahead! I have to remember to bring my ipod nano with me next time kiting, cause music with that sky would have been so awesome.
What a day ![]()

Looks like that would be a hoot of fun here.. only, we ain't got no ice. All of our creeks, rivers, lakes are all open. It's been so warm down here this winter that no one has been able to kite, but they have been able to surf!!
