OMG WE ARE HAVING FUN!!!
It started yesterday with our 17hr journey from International Falls to Avon, North Carolina. The three hours in Grand Rapids, MI airport bar/loundge was the funniest! We ate, drank, drank and ate for three solid hours before we boarded our plane to Avon with a stop in Detroit for another pint...LOL!!! Oh man, so many funny stories!!
Today we are in the midsts of tornado watches, 85km/hr gusts, white out rain conditions and the odd dump of hail!! Oh my, what a great start to our holiday! I spent a couple of hours getting thrashed out on the water with Paul and Uffe. Now as I type, Margot is taking water start lessons with Kevin Gratton in the same pumping conditions!
We rented our gear from this sweet shop called Ride Hatteras. It is so nice to browse through a windsurfing shop with shitloads of gear. I even bumped into Tom Mae from Toronto in the shop! Woa, small world eh!! We're going to go over to his place tonight and have a pint or two with John Darling and more Torontonians.
The house we are staying in is Sound Wave, it is so nice, words just don't justify. Lets just say, we will be back here for sure!!!

We had a 65 mph gust about an hour ago 
The hard drive on my lap top crapped out again 
so I have it in the freezer right now hoping it'll spin up again!

Wow, sounds like you guys are havin' a great time!
I am guessing you guys will be heading down to Uffe's Dam Jam. Hope to finally meet all of the Canadian crew face-to-face!
I've got some great road-trippin' music I'd like to send to both you and Uffe before the event. You can crank it in the Blue Moose on your trip down to Iowa.

Hey Fred, great to see your excitement for surfing, we are sitting on the shore today in Hatteras, it is blowing a steady 35-40 knots w/ gusts even higher. Kevin G was out on a 3.4m overpowered. Hopefully it will lighten up for tomorrow, send some tunes w/ music this way too, so we can jam here while we get ready for the regatta. I will email you my address.
