Hatteras Day 2
"Team Matousek"
Water level is up 3' due to the onshore winds
Driving through the flooded streets
The boys enjoying a hot tub in our house overlooking the Pamlico Bay
Some guy blasting off a ramp in the 70-80km/hr winds
The waves were getting blown apart by the crazy winds on the ocean side
It's Blowin'...
It's so windy here in Hatteras, we've been unable to get on the water today simply because we don't have small enough gear...who would have thought! So, as the good adapting-to-any-situation kind of windsurfer's we are, we decided to watch the 'really good' sailors, and the crazy ones get smashed out on the water while we consumed a few pints! God this is fun!!
We cruised around today in our rental van through the flooded streets due to the onshore winds blowing all the sea water ashore. We did some shopping, sight seeing, and ocean wave gawking!! Holy crap, some of the sets were 20' for sure!
Paul and his folks "Team Matousek" are cooking for everyone tonight, so it should be a really fun meal!!
Ahhhhhh, time for a Heineken I think
