Sweet Sunday!
Josh with great form closing the gap!
Josh jibing!? Who would have thought!!
Guin on a JP180 with a 5.5m sail
Josh chop hopping?! WTF!!?
Josh hangin' loose...
This past 'Sunday at Sandy Beach' was extra special in that our oldest son Josh, and my youngest sister Guin were windsurfing with us! Josh has just finished up 9 weeks of working in Toronto as a windsurfing instructor at Toronto Windsurfing Club. Josh's skills as a windsurfer have improved so much, it is really hard to believe! He was chop hopping off the waves and really getting close to nailing his planing jibes! Wow! We laughed our heads off playing in the waves/water together...great times. Woodette was also out ripping it up with us in the 12-20 knots of wind and she's really getting the hang of the formula board now too. My sister Guin who flew in from Toronto to spend some time with family was also having a blast on our club gear!
After windsurfing for 5 hrs, we drove to my brother Cary's new home for a big family BBQ.
Great Sunday indeed...

When I got down to lake and Brad said, look at Josh rippin out there, I just couldn't believe it! A picture I will never forget! So I hopped on my (already rigged gear :) and we just had a blast. Awesome warm wind, awesome time on the water together!!! So great to have Josh back!

Awesome shots of Josh ripping, guess we will have to worry about 3 Woody's chasing us around the course now. Is Josh coming with to Kevin's race or the Crossing? Went out and sailed yesterday w/ McKenzie, she tried her new board (yeah she got her own now) and did really well for the 15-20 MPH winds. She was on a 5.8, we both broke gear yeasterday, she busted a rubber mast joint, I broke a boom. I rescued McKenzie and Randy had to rescue me, had to derig and pack up out on the water, luckily it was 85 degrees in water and 90 in air. Can't wait for Toucan Open in 2 weeks.

What kind of board did McKenzie get herself? That is right awesome. Josh is coming to Kevin's regatta for sure! Wow, it's going to be fun to have 3 Woodworth's on the start line!!! YEEEHHAA!!! Have to make sure I secure myself some gear

Josh looks great! Learnt it all in T.O too! Lots of good sailor down here in no wind zone. Just got back from Les Isles de la Madeleine. It's a must see destination for any Kiter or windsurfer. Where and when is the next race? Can I drive there?

Hey Andree! ya Josh really benefited from the great TO windsurfers that's for sure! Thanks!
Next regatta for us is Sept 22,23 at the Windpower Champs in Fond du Lac, WI. (12 hr drive from Dryden, 12 hr from Toronto), then it's the Mille Lacs Crossing Sept 28-30. Both great events. Our Pirate friend may be coming to The Crossing!
Send us some pics from your trip out east

Josh can use my old Mistral One Desing at the cossing if he wants to (Andre won on it in Dryden, so it should be fast for him it has been drying out since then so it should be ready to go. ) I got myself a Mistral Superlight comp (same as Woody's) with help from Kevin, so I hope to be on that if it is light.. Wooo hooooo, here I come... McKenzie is learning more and more, we have only been out a few more times though, her board is a Mistral Malibou model -99 w/ dagger board, brand new for $100. She likes it better than the Start.

Awsome shots of Josh. These are great pictures and the memories will certainly endure. This is the first time I get to see them. I suppose Josh is going to want to compete at the Crossing? More people to finish in front of me. I suppose you could call that wind drafting; like on bicycle races. Oh well, someone has to be behind. There is always a better view in front with all those coloured sails.
What a great web page.
